Our Chamber has been at the heart of our Community for nearly 100 years as the town has grown and matured to become the largest conurbation in the district of Rother with a population of 47,000 people. We have seen the construction of the iconic De La Warr Pavilion and the destruction of the grand seafront hotels of which only the Sackville still stands as a serviced apartment block. We have seen the shift from Bexhill being the innovative and dynamic birthplace of British motor racing and the home of the inventor of television John (Logie) Baird to become a contemporary cultural centre with a distinctive and independent high street. Now our Chamber is at the heart of defining a bright new future for the town as we work closely with other key stakeholders to not only help deliver nearly £60m of Government “Levelling Up” funding but also work to attract significant new investment that reflects the hopes and aspirations of our rapidly changing demographic and the new working and business models.
As we approach our centenary our Chamber will continue to serve the ethos of our members to bring Prosperity to our community under our motto Business – Prosperity – Community.
